SAW 2022 Season, Week 7 - Happy New Years Edition

Do ONE of three things per week:
- Write, record and mix a song of your own creation
- Record a cover of a song, working it all out and recording it in a week
- Learn a kick ass solo you've always wanted to learn

Submissions should be in the form of link to soundcloud, or other service, or youtube. For solos, a play along video either over the original, or over a backing track is vastly preferable to an audio link

Rules:
- Must be your own work when writing
- Must be a song or solo done THIS WEEK if covering
- Don't be a dick about anyone elses submissions unless they are flouting the rules.
- Post submissions in this thread

Oh, snap- I'm in first! Are we still doing this?... Tough track to write because I hurt my brain trying to find all sorts of chord inversions for the keyboard parts (used the Chords iOS app). Also pretty pleased with a copy of the theme developments at a couple spots in the track. Anyways, Happy New Years!

Ok, I tossed this together just to have an entry. Really needs the bass, which I can totally hear in my head, but I'm just not into it...

Well other than the obvious void from the missing bass and being a little shorter than your typical song length, it doesn’t sound thrown together.

I say we shut this season down here. We’re technically tied but you’ve posted first in 6 of the 7 weeks so I’d say you’re the overall “winner”.

I'm back to doing covers for my YouTube channel. Did a couple two days ago. I did think of posting one here, but I'm not sure if those are in the spirit of the challenge (just me playing along to the actual songs).

If there was something like the old Hoedowns, I'd defo take part in those.

What do you mean by hoedowns? TBH, playing along to a track as a youtube video would count, as long as you literally learnt the song that week and played it (cover a week thing, which is mainly to stop spamming with "her's a song i doid 2 years ago, and other i did last centruy" etc)
