    New Focusrite

I've been wanting to upgrade my interface, a Presonus Studio 26. Nothing wrong with it really, just moving it to my laptop for a mobile set up. My new Focusrite 18i20 arrived yesterday so off to the "studio" to get to work. I'm using a Windows 10 based pc so I went through the process, registered, installed the drivers, followed their set up tutorials to the letter(or so I thought, lol!) for Windows 10 and Reaper. Initially when I fired up the 1st project in Reaper I was stoked, the sound is obviously better, levels are good, but wait, why is everything coming through center? Double check, make sure I've got my panning set for the guitar to right for this project, yup, still panned right, wtf!?!, messed with the panning and it has no effect, mute the channel, no effect, now I'm confused. So I closed out of Reaper and I still had signal coming through my pc, wtf, Kemper on, Focusrite on, monitors on, pc on, Reaper closed and no apps running, I guess my pc is now my amp and doesn't care if Reaper is running or not, lol! At that point I decided it was better to quit for the night. I know I likely missed something simple so now I'll get my coffee and breakfast, take my blood pressure meds, lol, and go get it figured out.

There're multiple places you have to set your in/out audio feed. On your computer in the Audio Settings, in your DAW, etc. Chances are one of those isn't set properly. But, you'll get it figured out.
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

As I suspected, I missed something. In Focusrite Control I had monitor outputs 1/2 set up wrong, all is good now

I've had my 6i6 for almost ten years, and I still struggle with how to set the FocusRite app correctly.
