The BDH plugin is fantastic, I have used it to record song ideas instead of having to fire up Cubase many times.

I like the simplicity of the built-in recorder within the desktop version

it has a metronome so I just spit out riffs and song ideas for an hour or so every now and then and they can be revised later in Cubase
