    The Logic Thread

Maybe the best DAW, from everything I've seen. I'm definitely out of touch on this one as the last time I used Logic was when it was on Windows in the early 2000s, but I see it all the time on YouTube videos and I know a lot of guys swear by it. I'm just not buying a Mac for one program, I wish it was released on Windows.

Maybe a weird thing to point out, but one thing I love about Logic is that it's just like any other App Store app, so you don't have to deal with any license activation crap.

How many actual Logic users are on here?

I just bought it after my 90 day trial was up. Garageband was great training wheels, and now that i want to make better mixes this is the right tool for a home solo project like mine.

Shoutout to the piani roll having the drum names for the virtual drummer too.

I jumped ship from PT to Logic Pro when PT started their licensing shit a few years back. I dig it

I don't see a trial option on the App Store.

I loathe PT. I made the mistake once of installing that freemium option they have and it installed so much DRM bullshit on my computer. Never again.

                    I LOVE Logic.

Went from Cool Edit Pro 2 to Sonar 7 to Pro Tools to GarageBand then Logic. I’m totally comfortable sticking with Logic for the rest of my life. The more I learn about it, the more I love. The *ONLY* thing that grinds my gears is when auto-punch turns on by itself. Drives me up the fucking wall.

Recently been jumping back and forth between Logic and ProTools namely because my co producer is more fluent with ProTools. But I'm much more comfy with Logic thanks to my Garageband beginnings.

Zepp, try going to the apple site instead of the app store?

Here is the link for anyone who wants a free trial:

See how easy it is to make the move from GarageBand to Logic Pro.

I’ve been using Logic for a few years now. Definitely the easiest to use full-featured DAW out there, IMHO.

I love Logic. It's a one-stop shop: the amp modelers sound fine, plenty of synths, flex edit works great, the drummers are fine for demos, plenty of loops for demos, etc. I end up using a Valhalla reverb and the Waves Scheps channel strip sometimes, but honestly the built-in stuff would be fine.

Plus I saw Steven Wilson using it so it has to be good.

Wilson likes Flex because he can smooth out any vibrato with it!

Been pottering with logic since version 8 when I got my white MacBook. Now Happily running version 10.5 on build based around a gigabyte motherboard. Logic is probably the main reason I’m still on macos
