I'm glad I got into recording when plug-ins were at the point they are now. While I will most definitely end up picking up a couple nice compressors, I'm content enough doing everything in the box or just using my AxeFX for whatever effects I might want/need.....and even then, I only do shit like that when I'm bored and feel like experimenting.

I would LOVE to have all that shit, but I'm able to produce music I'm fairly content with, so none of it is a necessity.

For a pro level studio, that doesn't seem too excessive, actually. However, I can't even deal with the plugins I have at the moment, so outboard gear is not even remotely on my agenda...
