    So, who's making "albums"?

And what have I missed album-wise in the last couple of years? Did Chris ever release anything? If so, did it have "ball sweat" somewhere in the title? Fill a brother in!

Regrettably, but not surprisingly, I have done little musically the past few years. My electric guitars collect dust while my acoustic gets most of my attention. I'm working on my voice and I play shit that makes me smile.

I made my first solo EP last year - justinsears.bandcamp.com

Working on a 2nd EP in a different direction, almost done writing for it. Great excuse to amass guitars after leaving the touring band . My acoustic needs restringing .

I'm sporadically working on a doom album, based on some songs I've written in the Song A Week challenge. There are like 6 or so songs that I'm pretty happy with out of those. Let's see if I ever manage to finish it (and if anyone else than me will ever hear it once it's finished ).

I am joining Markus in the "Doom album in the works, where i am actually happy with the songs" - and actually its been like that for 5 years now. Let's see if those ever get finished. I plan to do so at least, but you know...

I'm putting one together right now, just like Markus, using SAW entries that I'm remixing, etc. Hoping to have lyrics written soon, then getting Vox recorded before the end of summer.
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

            I’m currently in limbo.

I’ve got about 30 songs in various forms that are all waiting to go on an album but I don’t know what hell I’m doing right now. The original goal was to record the songs I had kicking around for a few years that weren’t getting used in the bands I was in because I was just the singer. I got a recording setup and started teaching myself how to record/engineer/produce and that was a little over 5 years ago. I’ve put out a couple tunes here and there but stopped last year because I thought I was coming to a close on the album….

But now I’m not so sure. The songwriting has changed considerably and stuff I loved before is quite dull now. I’ve certainly been through the demo-itis ringer with more than one of them. I’m finally at the point now where I’m decently happy with my recording results, it’s just a matter of solidifying what I’m going to put on the album, sticking with it and banging it out.

Motivation has been low as of late…mostly because work just has me beat by the time I get in.

I released this EP last year. It's sort of "new old", since it was me finishing up and redoing older metal tracks I had laying around. https://sonicsavage.bandcamp.com/album/molten-ghosts

I'm currently working on finishing and revising an improvisational jazz/funk/whatever Council of One album I started a year ago before my life went topsy turvy. I've posted the first three completed songs. Lots of clean guitar and raw production on this one, intentionally so.

Oh yeah, pretty sure I got a box in storage with Ken’s CD he put out back in the day in it. I think on the back of it there’s a UV being balanced on it’s headstock or it was on some grass or something and I remember some of the more delicate members of Jemsite having a fucking meltdown over it.

Starting to write for a followup, either a full length or EP, but work has been a challenge lately.

I wrote bunch of song for new band I am trying to put together and eventually record as a band and release either EP or full album.

Im having no luck putting a band together, nobody wants to play what I want to play and I i do find someone they either quit or band politics get in a way.

Not an album but a 3-5 song EP I've been working on for the last year to promote as a showreel. I'll probably release it for free and put a link to donate if you want to pay for the songs.

Yep, I remember that. I had my UV77MC upside down with the headstock resting on my foot. Too bad there weren't hashtags back then. #UniverseAbuse #HowCouldSomeoneDoThat

I put out a guitar solo album in 2015, had a band I did an album with but never fully released it, and recently I've just put a bunch of singles of odds and ends music up on Spotify with zero promotion behind it

What is good art if it's not created then abandoned?

After releasing my solo album on 2016, I had consistently released an album a year from different bands and session gigs. That ended in 2020 due to the pandemic, in which case I locked myself away and written about 4 albums worth of music.

I'll be recoding my next solo album in October, whilst in the process of writing my 3rd. I'm going to release a few random stuff as well in between hopefully.

I talked to my old Toledo bandmates about getting off their asses, learning a tiny bit of technology, so we could finish that album. Nothing yet.

I need to talk to my current band about our album that was "recorded" in a storage locker. It needs redone. Nothing yet.

I wrote some songs and they kinda sound pretty good on their own without any vocals. Could use a little work. Nothing yet.
