I think most of y'all know the story here. My brother, Moose, died last October and I inherited this from him. Has a great backstory (he bought it new in the early 90s, had it stolen by a "friend" then managed to find it on eBay just a year or so ago). While it's not my all-time favorite bass, it means more to me than any of my gear.
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...
I've always had SR basses, but it always annoyed me how thin the bodies were and I always got annoyed with forgetting how I had the EQ set so I decided to go for something chonky and simple and modify the crap out of a Squier VM Precision Bass, might be my favourite bass I've ever played.

YES! An Ibanez EX! That's going back a ways. Awesome bass.
EDIT: You posted more pics. You've kept that thing in great shape! I still think the EX body shape is superior to the RG, and I love the RG. They could have developed that series more, it's too bad they abandoned it in the mid-90s. Sorry to hear about your brother, and its good to hear he was able to get it back in great shape.

Yeah, it was hideously dirty, but no major dings or dents. It took me hours and hours to get it cleaned up and shiny, but right now it looks just like it did in 1994 the first time I held it. We used it on the Scab demos and I think it got used at a few gigs, but otherwise it's barely been played to my knowledge. Granted, whatever it went through in the 20 years it was missing we'll never know.

Here's two of mine, a Nordstrand Acinonyx and an Overwater Scott Devine signature.
The Acinonyx is a funky short scale with a huge aggressive sound, narrow string spacing, and a super tiny neck. The Overwater is "breathe on it to play a note" low action, and is kind of funky in that it's a 33” scale Jazz with super narrow string spacing (16.5mm) and a narrower neck pocket with an AANJ-style heel. Really really nice bass and just sounds amazing.
Here's my Dingwall Afterburner I Elite. Had this thing for a long time and it's still my #1. Passive bass with a switchable filter; sounds amazing (especially with both pickups in series).

Ooh that’s pretty. I’m sure it sounds and plays great too.
Also my Kubicki Ex Factor. Really comfy and easy to play and has some truly deep sub bass sounds available if you want it. Beat up but still totally functional.
