    Printable floyd rose routing templates?

Does anyone have a printable copy of the routing templates for a floyd rose? front and back? I cant seem to find them.

    Cheers

I've had this for some time (think it's from Project Guitar) although they are the drawings to create routing templates. I've never ended up using it in the build it was planned for so can't verify it's accuracy unfortunately..

Those official diagrams are great but in all my experience, the studs should be at 25-1/16" from the nut. the official diagram has them at just under 25".

I think it’s hilarious that in the version of the official diagrams in inches, there’s a note that “all dimensions are in inches” and yet half of the measurements are still in millimetres.

Cameron , on the diagram it has the front edge of the recess at 24 ⅞” from the nut, with the centre of the studs set ¼” back from that, so 25 ⅛” from the nut.

I'm actually installing a Schaller Low Pro. Which has a slightly different shape, therefor most of the FR measurements are not applicable. I'm only using the FR diagrams to help plot out the Schaller positions which are unknown to me (schaller wont provide routing templates only tech specs) such as stud shelf width, rear route sizes and so on. I came across a video on youtube where a guy goes into great detail explaining how to install his schaller trem. While its not the low pro model it seems it has very similar measurements. He does skip over a few important measurements though. But that video and with the FR diagrams i think im close to getting it right.

On the schaller trem you install the studs 13mm forward (towards the nut) from the scale line. I'm planning to install first on some pine scraps first.

I've attached the low pro tech specs and this is the video i'm talking about, for future reference:

I wont argue against that. When i contacted their support for the templates, i was told they didn't have them for that model and that i should buy the lockmeister unit.. which i also found out does not have routing templates available! gotta pump those sales eh?!

Im pretty sure their Lockmeister is a standard OFR-based design, isn’t it?

That would make sense, thought he was just trying to upsell me!

I had worked it out differently I thought at one time but its been a while. 25-1/8" from the nut puts the High E right at the edge if I recall and could even overhang in some cases. There was a lot of research at FMIC about that when the swirly jackson DK2's came out of Mexico
