Honest answer: This is probably what his target market looks like. Aging hipsters and boomers who still dress like they are in their 20s.
Like everyone who intentionally subscribes to that hilarious cork sniffer magazine that Soopahmahn got me ages ago.👍 2Comment

Apparently it got gobbled up into Guitar World and hasn't published since 2012, I didn't realize it's been that long👍 1Comment

I forgot this guy existed. I thought Cesar ran the show. I've seen Cesar in a few Youtube videos and keep stumbling across him on Instagram. He's definitely a super rich dude who was a collector before he went to Gibson, but he at least seems like a guy who honestly digs the guitars and the music. I imagine rich suits are tough to avoid when you're that high up in a big company, so if these guys are legitimately into music and even remotely down to earth, I'd consider that a win.Comment

We went through Nashville this summer on our family trip, and there were a lot of people who looked/dressed that way. I'd describe it as "Corporate Outlaw Country". It's putting on the Waylon Jennings Honky Tonk Heroes album in your Tesla.
Lot of money and a lot of posers in Music City now, from all appearances.👍 3Comment

True, but I was shocked at the "upscale wannabe hippie" vibe I saw all over the place. It's like half of Nashville wants to be Austin circa 1974, or at least look like it. Fake cosmic cowboys.Comment

Somehow simultaneously showing off a vintage convertible, a surfboard sticking out of the backseat, a glass of whiskey in one hand and a cigar in the other. Big shit eating smile.Comment
