Got the chance to score one of these (barely) used at a great price (Thanks Drache). I was curious, so why not?
Never liked the logo at the 12th fret, and that kept me from buying one for a long time. Too obvious. But this model has the least visible one.
Also, never been a fan of that type of bridge (always preferred OFR), but I don't know. On this particular guitar, I dig it.

For the price I paid (and this is on the lower end of Solar offerings) it feels like a solid guitar and it sounds pretty good overall. Love the look!
Baked maple neck and fretboard feels great and that's the thing I like the most about it. C-shaped, thinner than my Charvel, but with enough chunk to it. Far from a Wizard, let's say. Really digging' it. Pickups sounds pretty decent as well... I need to play it more to have a final opinion on those.

Never been great at reviews, but overall, I freakin' like this thing so far. Nothing out of this world, but a cool guitar nonetheless.

Looks great. I'd love to get my hands on a solar at some point. It's strange seeing a bolt on solar, I'm so used to the set necks.

Hell yeah!

I love the neck on me E-type, (I think they use the same neck carve on all the guitars?) it fills your hand without being obtuse. A medium C shape. I really dig the pickups. A little more midrange than I expected them to have, but they definitely get some good separation in the chugging/palm muted stuff.

Great score! I remember when he put that up for sale - I don't like light colored fingerboards or else I would have jumped at it. If it's anything like my A2.6, you're going to love it long time.

Ibanez dropped that ball about 10-15 years ago, really. Fully agreed in regards to Ola though. And I couldn't be more stoked that it's Ola, either, he's a good fuckin' dude that I'm happy to support.
