I don't usually get too excited about pickups but I am absolutely floored by these right now. I have never liked actives but was getting on ok with the Fishmans for a while. I am glad I listened to nick and went with Alnico instead of Ceramic as these are plenty bright in my Alder/Maple/Ebony Jackson.

I’m not sure ceramic magnets affect the tone as much as the feel. Alnico has a bit more “squish” to it, whereas ceramic sounds “hard”.
