    Jazzmaster hardtail conversion

Put a hardtail plate on my mjt/allparts jazzmaster this morning. Not sure if its louder acoustically but it is my loudest F type unplugged so far. Lost a little weight so the balance changed a touch, but still sits how it should.

Gonna have to use a capo for string changes now though.

I quickly discovered that while you're tuning up a new string, the ball end can slip out of the bridge slot. Apparently this is something that happens with danelectros, so a buddy recommended put a capo on to keep things in place til there's enough tension.

        Ahh, I see.

Why not just fill the hole with a block of wood and install a proper TOM? I mean, aside from all the extra work...

What’s up with the intonation on the bottom string?

Where did you get that tailpiece?

I really want to do a Warmoth Bass VI build, but the fact there is only one bridge option and it is the shittiest tremolo in existence (well, second to Bigsby) always crushes my dreams.

Expressway guitars. I think Im going to add a small weight of some sort to get a little balance back, we'll see.
