NGD - Another followed me home....

I snagged this one off another forum... I've really wanted a Flying V for a while. There is something pretty cool about strapping one of these bad boys on. The case is huge and the pickguard it came with gives Drew's old strat pickguard a run for it's money in the ugly department, so I had to remedy that quickly. It came with 36th anniversary Dimarzio PAFs, and I already ripped the bridge out for an older Duncan JB. It's a '96 with an ebony fretboard. I'm tempted to bring it to my guy in Mass to have stainless jumbo frets installed, but I will live with these for now.



Now here we go, much better - 5 ply b/w/b/w/b pickguard off eBay.

Yeah, I'm not sure who would want a mix of skulls and anime styled women with big boobs on their pickguard, but that's just me.

I thought that was just a black and white Tortoise shell style pickguard (which I would prefer over the black) but, yeah, the skull & boob pickguard had to go.

Congrats on a new guitar, its even more awesome because its a V. I agree with others on PG, the old one looked like a grandma’s wallpaper, with new one it looks more classy. Happy riffing
