Looks like a singlecut more than a tele specifically. Ibanez FR vibes.

Mmm... That ash one in the background.

The deep lower cutaway gives it an ultra-modern look.

Not quite a tele in a traditional sense of the word, but it looks damn cool.

The Telecaster is one of the classic models that I've never really seen the appeal of. But man, there are some really cool "superteles".

But a Tele is a single cut, no?

I was sure someone would point out that "it's not a Tele" before post #5.

Love that shape, great take on a more modern Tele. I wish he didnt go for the 12th fret logo on every model though IMHO.

Yup, same here. I'd probably own one if it wasn't for that. Oh well, to each their own!

Tele is a singlecut, but a singlecut isnt a tele. This is a singlecut . A very modern badass singlecut.

No thanks. That bottom horn is WAY too sharp.

I like mine better, for a modernized Tele:

I didn't even notice the one in the background.. It looks like it has a regular hardtail bridge on it as well

Ah, didn't notice that - but I'd still consider that a different category than this or the Jackson Telly or other similar shred-teles.

Yeah, with the arm contour, neck contour, belly cut, reversed headstock roasted maple neck with SS frets, and Fishman pickups, it’s very traditional.

Hallf of those weren't visible in the picture

Edit: To be serious, I still think that is quite a different thing from the Solar - it's more like a traditional tele with modern features, while the Solar is more like a completely different guitar inspired by the Tele shape.

That flame roasted neck’s been replaced though, with a quartersawn roasted neck with dot inlays, and a straight 12” radius.

                                            It’s got:
                                            • Roaster quartersawn maple neck, 12” radius, 1-11/16” nut, 6150SS frets, standard thin from Warmoth, reversed headstock, Sperzel tuners
                                            • Roasted swamp ash body, arm contour, neck joint contour, fat gut cut, satin red transparent
                                            • Fishman Fluence Greg Koch Tele set
                                            Attached Files

That’s how I felt, but after playing a friend’s Tele with all the Strat contours on it, it immediately became more desirable. And there’s nothing that sounds like one either. It’s unique.
