I used to be really into these guys. However, my group of friends from back home were far more into them than I ever was and everytime I am around them, they are either listening to Amorphis, Insomnium, or *insert some other finnish melodeath band here*. So yea, i got a bit tired of it. I saw them at MDF where they did the entire Tales from the Thousand Lakes album. Fucking killer show.

Huge Amorphis fan here. Have (almost) all of their albums (I don't have The Karelian Isthmus). I think they have basically 3 periods: early (Tomi Koivusaari on vocals), middle (Pasi Koskinen on vocals), and late (Tomi Joutsen on vocals). They're all good, but the current period is by far their best. Nothing against Tomi Koivusaari's singing style or Pasi's, but both the singing styles (and vocal melodies for that matter) and the writing is just SO much better since Tomi Joutsen joined. If I did my top 5 favorite Amorphis albums, they would all be from the past 15 years (starting with Eclipse).

Eclipse is an amazing album. To this day Brother Moon is one of my favorite songs.
