This all has to be so bittersweet for him, you know his father would have been proud as fuck of this song.

Seeing Wolfgang in action on his own music makes me wish Eddie had done a real project with him and not just had him pretend to be Michael Anthony (even though that was apparently Wolf's idea). My sense is that Eddie always needed a collaborator who could get his ideas across the finish line, and maybe he had one of those in his own household for the last decade.

On the last album, "A Different Kind of Truth." Apparently, Wolfie was really responsible for getting all of that going and getting Roth back in the studio.
Some of the ideas contributed to the newer songs were Wolfie's ideas and I can't remember which songs they were but they were spot-on in that regard.
I'm sure EVH taught Wolfie how to be a proper musician and not just some "Shredder." I can't remember where I heard it recently, but there was a Mammoth WVH Demo or something on Youtube or preview, Wolfie takes a solo and it was a proper shred solo. He definitely took all the good aspects from his Father, I'd imagine, especially being your own man as a musician. Sometimes, I wonder if he would have been more accepted had he never been put into Van Halen?

I really dug that and it sounded fucking GREAT! Killer mix! That ending was pretty slick. Dude's got a great voice and as someone doing the one man band thing, I'm stoked he's finally getting this album out. I'm definitely buying this.

The Karmic Law is not kismet. It is not fate but cause and effect. It is a taskmaster to the unwise; a servant to the wise.

This video is awesome. Also, nerdy thing to say, but where was this fimed? That studio door looks SO familiar.
Song is pretty cool too, I'm a sucker for straightforward riff-based hard rock. Initially I was kind of underwhelmed by the vocals when he came in and found myself wanting to hear someone else on this, and I guess I still kind of do, someone in the Myles Kennedy school... but by the chorus, I'd come around and felt like the vocals were, maybe a relative week point, but only because the rest of this all kicks ass. His voice totally works here.
And yeah, his dad would have been proud, I bet. :/

Thats a new model that has yet to be officially announced. There have been photos surfing around (posted above actually) for some time now. Considering its in this new video, I hope an announcement comes soon. This will probably be the first product that James Brown (designed the peavey 5150 line and was hired by EVH a few years ago) got his hands in.

That was better than I was expecting. I really dug the slight fuzz on the guitar tones. That, plus the way the bouncy, back-and-forth main riff is played on low strings higher up on the neck gave it a Queens of the Stone Age vibe.
Oh, and fuckin drummers, am I right? Typical.Last edited by d8200; 03-29-2021, 03:58 AM.
