Smith and Kotzen share lead vocals throughout the project, described in a press release as a hybrid of "blues, hard rock, traditional R&B and more." They cowrote and produced the album, trading off on guitar and bass.

Not really my type of sound, but some here might enjoy it

    Dig this one:

Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith and Winery Dogs guitarist Richie Kotzen will release their self-titled debut LP in March 2021.

It's unfortunately generic like everything else Kotzen touches but it does sound like the lads are having a good time.

This record is really not as good as it ought to be

"Running" is the best song on the album with that being said.
        Video is kind of cool.

Oh come on, Chris The Winery Dogs self-titled was the best Hard Rock album in quite a while.

Everything Kotzen touches is snob rock. It's maybe hilariously self aware but also miscalculated that he/they named their main project Winery Dogs ffs. A little too 'on brand'.

Snob rock is a great way to label it. I just don't know anyone who actually listens to that type of music regularly. It's all so bland. I make the same face as he does when I listen to his music:

I am a huge fan of RK's playing and singing. He is talented as hell. He just can't seem to write a song that isn't immediately forgettable, and adding Portnoy and Sheenan to the mix didn't help.

Off topic: I think Sheenan's whole career has been based on somehow getting into supergroups with people who are better than he is. He's been in a zillion bands and I can't recall single notable thing he's done.

All of this. He’s amazingly talented at everything but writing songs.

Honestly, in terms of amazing do-it-all musicians I’d like to hear more from, it’s Nuno. He can play anything, and while he’s perhaps not quite as good of a singer, he definitely writes better than Kotzen.

I've seen him playing with Vai a couple times and he's a ton of fun to watch at least.

But yeah, Kotzen can play and sing his ass off, but everything I've heard with him involved with sounds like the sonic equivalent of one of those Thomas Kinkade galleries in the mall.
