    LG Petrov of Entombed dead

Absolutely gutted about this, I'd been following the news on his health since it was announced. I was a huge fan and always loved their ridiculous home-made videos, you know they spent the video budget on beer.

Oh no! Another of my all-time favs, gone...

Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

Not a surprise but still not welcome news. Time to crank up Left Hand Path.

Absolutely gutted. A true loss - not only of a musical icon in Death Metal, but also to a guy who always seemed to be super nice and just fun to be around. (Disclaimer - I did not know him, but know some folks who met hims everal times and only have praise for him)

Blasting some LEFT HAND PATH in LGs honor today!

I cannot articulate how great an influence those first two Entombed albums were on me.

                RIP LG.

Fucking huge loss. Absolute legend. Left Hand Path gets all the attention, but Clandestine, Morning Star, and To Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth rule too. Morning Star is my personal favorite Entombed album.

I also love this semi obscure beauty of a split which gets spun quite often. Love the Spaghetti Western themed lyrics on "To Ride...".

The Latin Chanting on Morning Star cannot be topped. Their post Death N Roll albums get way less credit than LHP, but there are some total gems on them.

His appearance on Amon Amarth's best album is also legendary. That was under appreciated at the time. With Oden On Our Side through Surtur Rising was truly their golden trilogy.

Clandestine doesnt get a lot of love these days, mainly (i think) because no LG. But it is a true masterpiece of Swedish Death Metal.

I am with you -> Morning Star is an amazing album (their best?), and LG will always be the Chief Rebel Angel.

Monkey Puss has all the goodness of Clandestine with LG though.

I also love the title track of Serpent Saints, which is way underrated (as a track), although I agree with everyone else the rest of the album isn't that good.

Also, grab The Tomb Awaits and Raging Death by Entrails if you are a fan of Clandestine if you don't already have them. I fucking adore Entrails, listen to those albums all the time. They actually aren't hipster revival Entombed core either, they just took forever to record anything and were contemporaries of Entombed.

I had no idea he was on this album. Learn something every day.

It's a guest appearance on that one track unfortunately. Not the only cool guest appearance on the album either. The cool solo on the title track is Roope Latvala.
