  • This explains a LOT (thank you Ibanez for clarifying!)

Got a fresh, 2021 copy of the Ibanez "maintenance manual" for guitar and bass with my new SR305e.

In reading all these, I couldn't help but think of the new generation of guitar heroes, like this guy:

Nothing says rock & roll like this poster child for the "new breed" of players who are probably directly responsible for these warnings:

This next one is aimed at those who buy their first ever stringed instrument from Guitar Center:

Let the hate (for Floyd Rose) flow through you!

And, in case you suffer brain death prior to dreaming of a life as a Youtube Rock Star:

Thank you Ibanez, for making the rock & metal music world safer than it was ever meant to be...

Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

And, most likely started by defending Ibanez from a lawsuit on the topic...

Probably the only Manufacturer who can say "Don't buy a used one. You don't know where it's been." and use it as marketing.

I was gonna say, it reads like they're reacting to a recent lawsuit.

its important we have these things clarified...
The average age on MM.org has got so high, most of us positively yearn to have something hot approach their crotch area.

                              Do not use rusty strings...

As far as playing guitar with the strap loosened...I've seen that many times, back in the day where the guitar player's guitar drops to the ground during a song.

                                  Noob vs Guitar Center
Plaintiff: When I carried my new Ibanez RGD475934734535 out of the store with the case open, the guitar hit me in the face, causing me to try and grab the rusty strings, injuring myself on the sharp string ends before crushing my hand under the tremolo system. As a result, I spilled hot coffee on my crotch.

They should have added a Krist Novoselic disclaimer as well “Do not attempt to launch guitar up in the air and catch it with your face, doing so may cause injury and brain damage.”

The latest in guitar-related liability, featuring "The Boss":

Bruce Springsteen accidentally struck his guitar tech in the head during a show this month after the rocker launched his instrument.

Since Krist Novoselic played a Gibson during said incident, I'm surprised Gibson haven't cashed in like Greeny and release a signature Ripper bass with pre broken headstock and preserved blood and mucus stains from his skull.
