    Recent live Megadeth

Sounds pretty damn good to me.

Dave looks super tired and without energy

Noticed Kiko is playing a Gibson as well? 2-3 days ago I went to check Ibanez website to get some doubts on Kiko Ibby model and there's only the cheap Indonesia model listed. Although he used also Ibanez guitars on that show, seems someone is also going Gibson.

I expect the band to sound good given the quality of the players.

Dave sounds about as bad as he has for the last ten years, but his playing seems to be better.

Kiko looks weird playing a Les Paul.

The red Les Paul (and a sweet looking one at that) appears on a few songs, but Kiko is still largely playing his Ibanez sigs.

He's 60 years old and coming off of a litany of health issues. I cut him all the slack in the world.

Still sound good. I would've love to have been there, sounds awesome.

I'm still such a sucker for the Marty Friedman and Nick Menza (RIP) lineup. Glad I saw them back on RIP tour.

It is a little odd. Rafeal played one in Angra during the '90s, but Kiko was always Washburn/Tagima/ESP. 27 fret Les Paul?

I was refering to that. He looks tired due to all the Cancer treatments... pretty sure he took a heavy hit with those

It's nice to see he hasn't had the chance yet to edit the video with a cleaned-up vocal track.

Which, actually, I think his vocals have improved over the last couple of years. Maybe the surgery (and being forced to fully recover) did him some good.

Also, holy shit why are there concerts right now. The Delta variant is still Covid, and it can still be transmitted, even faster and more easily. You won't catch me at a show until I can get my daughter (3yo) vaccinated.

a few months back it seemed like it'd be safe to start doing shows right around now, and bands have had to decide if cancelling another slate of shows is worth it. i 100% agree that shows shouldn't be happening right now, but i also thought back in the spring that trends suggested it'd be safe to book shows for the end of the year. i don't know why i thought that people wouldn't disappoint me.

Dave is badazz, ill go see them when they are on UK tour. Its weird to see Kiko with LP, maybe Dave convinced him to go with Gibson?

Yeah, I bought tickets to see Exhumed in November thinking it might be okay by then, but now I'm feeling like it's gonna be a no-go since I have a kid that's not gonna be vaccinated for a while.

At least tickets to death metal shows are cheap so it's not a huge loss.

Relevant. A solid interview, and you can see what Dave is like today. He talks about the cancer toward the end. I think he's doing great and it's possible there are more great Megadeth albums coming, as long as Megadave keeps trending back to health.

And with all that he still sounds better than the 20-something drunk-outta-his-mind Dave from the 80s.
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

I hate the fact that they downtune now. I understand why but I dont like it. All things considering, they sound ok I suppose. I am actually going to see them since the tickets were cheap and the venue isnt far away so *shrugs*
