BTBAM: Colors II actually pretty cool

Colors was my favorite album by them for a while (I never really cared much for The Great Misdirect, though), but recently my favorite might be Automata I (II is good as well, but I think I prefer I).
I haven't checked out Colors II yet. I mean, I think it just came out a few days ago, after all. But I definitely will.

I'm planning to check it out, but it's the kind of thing where you really need time to digest it. They're not the kind of band where you can just casually listen to a 3 minute long song and be like "Hey, cool, I'll buy that album."
Parallax 1 and 2 are great, but they really pale compared to Automata 1 and 2. And The Great Misdirect is just weak sauce compared to most of BTBAM's other stuff.

It's still a good album, but it's nowhere near as good as Alaska or Colors or The Parallax (I or II) or Automata (I or II). I hope you're wrong about that...

I’m anxious to scoop this up. It took me forever to get into these guys and then one night it just clicked. They’re practically everything I want in a modern Dream Theater album, without fuckin circus noises.
And more Bungle elements is ALWAYS a plus for me (I know, a bit contradictory towards my circus music comment….)The Karmic Law is not kismet. It is not fate but cause and effect. It is a taskmaster to the unwise; a servant to the wise.

I gave this a listen... well rather I got about four tracks in... and I must say this album pales in comparison to Colours I. Do they have a different guy on vocals also, because if it's the same dude he's bloody lost it somehow, not sure if he's fucked up his voice somehow but his clean vocals are not on point at all. Couldn't really get into it to be honest just seemed like a parody of the first album.
