Great live Orphaned Land show

This is awesome. I love how raw and clear the production is. Such a fantastic band, super tight performance. It's not often you hear almost completely dry vocals in a live video.

I've never heard of these guys before, thanks! Really digging the music but the vocals haven't sold me yet. I'll definitely check out their studio stuff. The tone of his voice sounds a lot like Serj Tankian in some areas.

Oh man, these guys are great. A great blend of metal and traditional Middle Eastern music.

The "WDR Rockpalast" recordings are almost always top notch. Highly recommended. This also was one of the very very few sources of heavy music being available on TV in the early 90s - they have a special place in my heart for it.

Awesome set also - meant to check ot Orphaned Land ages ago, somehow never managed to do so, but this rules.

You should check out this album.

The whole album is about the Book of Exodus and Mats Leven sings the whole thing. Some great heavy moments and tremendous orchestration of music.
Very theatrical. Their friends of mine and I know they hang out with the Orphaned Land guys too. I think Kobi is on the record somewhere?


Aside from that, Kobi (Orphaned Land's Singer) is a brilliant singer and seems to be quite a genuine guy seeking peace for the Middle-East.
