  • Is this what the DC metal scene has come to?

While this isn't bad, per se, it's hardly an indicator of the DC metal scene I know and love... what happened?
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

They're actually one of the better bands around here. I don't think the recording really captures them, though.

The scene is much smaller than it used to be, like everywhere. A lot of mediocrity. Too much Pantera.

I dig the sound, but then, I was raised on classic rock

Not bad but that drummer is terrible.

Yeah I don't mind this either. It would be cooler if they sludged it up a little more. It's like almost stoner Priest.

            Drummer kinda sucks though.

I'm not saying they're a bad band, but they came across my feed promoted as "DC Metal"... They aren't even MD Doom worthy, much less DC Metal worthy, IMO. Hard rock, sure. Maybe they can play a gig with Korupt...

Dig that Iron Reagan that Squids linked, though.

It's good to see the problems of metal scenes thousands of miles apart are exactly the same.

I'd add to that, that none of the "pantera bands" could get all the way through a pantera cover if their lives depended on it.
