The guy has always been pretty prolific, but he's been releasing tunes and little videos like once a week on his Bandcamp. And this one he just put up is pretty awesome so far (I'm only about 5m in )...

Thanks for posting! I'm really digging this one so far. It's like Coma with distortion! Also, it's great to hear him playing with what sounds like actual drums or at least a good VST, instead of the Alesis drum machine from 1992 that's been on a million of his records.

What's this, album #567 now? Still one of my favorites but I don't think I've kept up on anything he's released post like 2005?

I went digging through some old stuff a couple weeks ago, since I'm working-from-home and can listen to music all day

One of the diamonds I found was Captain EO's Voyage.

That one is still in heavy rotation with me too.

I stopped keeping up with him years ago. There is just too much to sift through to find the good stuff anymore

I do go to see him whenever he comes through town though, what a great show.

Well, that's what this thread is for

And yeah, he's always an automatic ticket-buy!

Thank God this thread is here, then

Bucketheadland 2 is still my favorite. Occasionally out of nowhere, I find myself singing "they took my chickens away. They took my chickens away today."

I sometimes get the lyrics to Last Train To Bucketheadland stuck in my head...

Our-our-our engineers are coming up with so many ideas! Huh-We can only take 'em one at a time... We're-we're trying to offer you everything we can. Ww-with Edwin Neal's Sausage Ride, wh'what else do you want?!... It's been a long day at Bucketheadland, ladies and gentlemen. Your engineer's getting very weary. Eenhh-oohh. Very weary, I have to go home, have a little phenobarbital, sit down, and play my Texas Chainsaw Massacre video game... Ugh, sorry for the erratic behavior on this last train to Bucketheadland, but, your engineer's at the end of his leash.

Monsters And Robots was the first Bucket album I bought. I think I bought everything that came out prior to that as well, I know I had Coma and one or two others. We used to get really high, put Monsters And Robots on and just laugh our asses off. I used to play “Who Me?”, in the music store we worked at that my buddy’s dad owned and I’d make all the whimpering noises when customers were there.

Only saw him once, opening for Primus and Incubus at an arena in Lewiston, ME that was actually packed. I was the only dork right in the front row screaming and throwing horns while he was up there. I don’t think the audience knew what to think, but I was loving it. I’m not even sure where I heard of him first, must have been a forum.

Some friends of mine were passing Colma around on the Steve Vai chatroom. That's where I got it.

Speaking of Colma, my cousin asked me to do “Hills Of Eternity” for her walk down the aisle. I had months to prepare it and was going to have my buddy do the drum track for me. Being an irresponsible Jr in high school, I ended up learning it that morning, used my acoustic with a Dean Markley pickup into my Legacy half stack and cranked the delay. That’s it. No drums, just me repeating that riff over and over. It wasn’t until years later she told me, “I didn’t say anything then, but I was PISSED that you dropped the ball on that. I gave you months to prepare for it and all you did was repeat the riff! It’s ok though, that marriage was doomed from the start.” I still feel like a schmuck about that.

I was going to play the pipes at my best friend's wedding, but could never get the reed properly sorted, so I just played acoustic guitar.

Kinda the same outcome, really... ended up leaving that guy
