The backing track he played to is tuned down 1/4 step and his guitar is tuned a whole step down (I actually was silly enough to cover Mesh´s cover for SAW on the old site - so I checked the tunings). Later I think he made a second version where the tuning was "definitely right this time" - and it was still 1/4 step off.
