    Lexxi Foxx leaves Steel Panther

Bassist Lexxi Foxx has left California glam metal jokesters STEEL PANTHER. The band announced Foxx's departure in a tongue-in-cheek social media post earlier today (Saturday, July 17). STEEL PANTHER wrote: "The End of an Era "The great pandemic of 2020-2037 has affected all of us. For some though, i...

    Clearly he's Megadeth's new bassist.

I love how they're still commited to kayfabe on their press release of departing members.

Am I the only one that, while impressed with their obvious musicianship, is bored to tears with Steel Panther's music, and doesn't think it's all that funny?

Was funny when it started but making a whole career out of that one gag is eh, doubly when "life imitates art, imitates life" and they're basically living the reality the life of they parody.

Still the best thing Satchel ever put his name on

I still like it. They are a Vegas lounge act, not a pioneering rock and roll band. It's rare that I'm in the mood to listen to it but I'm glad it's out there.

It has to get old REALLY fast when it's your career though.

I still like it too. I don't listen to it often, but I too am glad it's out there.

The beauty of it is, they know who they are and what their purpose is, so it's not like they're fooling themselves or anyone else.

Their live shows are where it’s at. It’s all the banter between songs, the improv, the cover tunes they pull out of their ass. THAT’S what made me go see them every time they come through.

This is a bummer because Lexxi’s little one liners or off-the-cuff remarks were some of my favorite moments with them. Guess he’s off to do pet grooming now.

Last time they were here the wife and I snapped pics with all of them without their wigs (Michael doesn’t wear a wig) and they were all super friendly dudes. We ran into them at Logan a couple years back, I snuck up behind them and started singing “My heart belongs to youuuuu”, they all turned around with giant smiles and even though they were trying to figure out where they were headed, they took a few minutes to shoot the shit with us. Drummer is totally bald. He looked more like KG from Tenacious D than anyone in Steel Panther.

Really great dudes and I don’t care how low-brow the humor is, it’s MY exact sense of humor. Outstanding musicians and they play across the world making people smile and laugh. That’s about as cool as it fuckin’ gets for me.

The Karmic Law is not kismet. It is not fate but cause and effect. It is a taskmaster to the unwise; a servant to the wise.

This. I met Russ and Ralph (edit: forgot his real name for a minute. ) at our hotel in Vegas when they were commuting during the week, many years ago. Nice guys.

Damn, I found out about this the other day. I’ve seen Steel Panther twice and he was very part of the comedy that they have as part of their shows and I’ll miss that.

Would be cool if they got Pat Badger from Extreme because the second time I saw them he tagged along and stole the bass from Lexxi to play a few songs and wouldn’t give the bass back he was awesome, too. Will miss Lexi though. I highly recommend anybody to see them live even though it will be a little different without him, Satchel is hilarious.
