That ruled. I've never gotten into Kreator like any of the other thrash bands. Which album should I start with?

Just start at the beginning. The early stuff was borderline death metal (or at least what was defined as death metal back then - ultra heavy/teh brootz) then they got more thrash/speed metalish later on. I used to be a HUGE Kreator fan back then, but have sort of lost interest this century...

Their last few albums (Enemy Of God onward) have been pretty great and worth checking out. Hordes of Chaos lags behind a bit compared to the other 3 have been enjoyable.

I've checked some of it out, definitely some seriously mean riffing. And Mille is still #GodMode but for some reason I just can't get into it like I used to be back in the Flag of Hate/Terrible Certainly/Extreme Aggression era.

I'll never forget seeing them with Coroner in Pittsburgh back then - mind blowingly good show, I can still picture Mille screaming at the mic from about 5' away and his voice ripping through the PA - talk about lung power! Then me and Chris from Abominog went and hung out with him on their bus for hours. Super cool guy who had us rolling the whole time. Good times.

Beat me to that one. I thought it was going great till he started singing then the chorus hit and we entered the in flames clayman zone.

                    Not a bad track though

I dig both this, and oldschool Slayeriffic Kreator.

Love Kreator. First album I got into when it first came out was Terrible Certainty then fell in love with Extreme Aggression which those two are my favorite albums. Love Coma of Souls too.

They were the opening band when I saw Testament the other year, and they were awesome. Kreator > Annihilator > Testament. It took quite a while for my neck to recover from that lot

Damn. That's a lineup I'd like to see in the US. Not holding my breath, though...

Hoglan would just pay off the sound guy to make the mix a wall of kick drum and nothing else anyway.

Kreator had a huge influence on me, basically started by this video which i saw as a 12/13 year old that had just dicsovered "harder" music. The video fascinated me and the song is still awesome as fuck.
