    Black & Death metal thread

I may as well give this a go even though it'll likely die in the space of a few days.

Old/new/obscure bands/albums you like, post them.

    New grave miasma out today:

If that link doesn't embed can someone school me on how tf I do it?

Not bad, reminds me of early black dahlia murder

Does post-black count? I think this album may be in my top 5 of all time - regardless of genre.

            First off my band Crotalus

With that out of the way....
I just cannot stop listening to this album. It scratches so many itches in so many ways. It's just so damn good. If you like Swedish Death Metal then give it a rip. At times its total Entombed worship (in a good way) but they add just enough originality and melody.

              All Denver bands

These guys are good friends and have a very original (and tongue in cheek at times) take on Death Metal

And Blood Incantation BECAUSE spacy sci-fi death metal rules

Of feather and Bone is grimy and old school.

i've been taking a break from death metal lately but recently i'd say i enjoyed suffering hours new album. mostly bought it because i really liked their last album.

not much of a black metal fan but you know iceland... they do that "thing" that i like. so if you are into that, then this is pretty damn enjoyable.

                                Here's a few I've been digging lately:

Sort of scratches the OG Opeth itch...

                                Nice Sludgey, Obituary-esque stuff

Tech-black metal? Is that a thing?
Don't expect much, it's not like I'm a Rocket Surgeon...

Absolutely, they've come a hell of a long way from their Deathcore beginnings. From that scene, both them and TBDM have grown into seriously great bands, Job for a Cowboy to a lesser extent (although I think they still win the prize for the most genuinely harrowing music video ever)

When Job for a Cowboy first came out, I never listened to them, both because of their name and because I had heard that they were deathcore (and as much as I love death metal, hardcore, AND metalcore, I've never liked deathcore that much -- though, to be honest, over time I have grown to like some deathcore bands, which 10 years ago I probably never would've seen happening), but they have become such an amazing band over time.

This album is just a masterpiece:

Abigail Williams is a band that I thought sounded okay when they first came out but have been getting better and better as time has gone by and I've really been thinking I need to pick up some of their stuff.

Yeah that album kind of came out of nowhere in terms of the prog influence.

A Black Metal album that i have been spinning really a lot lately, is "Ofte Jeg Drommer Mig Dod" by AFSKY:

                                                  Those riffs are unreal.
