Soldano X88R Project Thread

I'm going to be making some Soldano X88R clones in the near future and I'm playing around with some designs. I'd love to get some thoughts and/or opinions on them. If you've got some suggestions, please do chuck them in.

was gonna suggest a yellow one, but honestly i think we've peaked with the snakeskin. i have a friend who is all about snakeskin and 80's rack preamps, he'd lose his mind over this.

The only way you could make that snakeskin one more 80s is to have lasers shooting out of the faceplate. I feel like the power requirements for a proper laser that could blind someone would put too much strain on a transformer meant for a 2u rack space though.

I'm still working on that at the moment and I'm sure I could look at it as a kit. Still in the early stages but if there is enough interest in this, I could definitely look into it 😎
