A solid upgrade from my Koss UR20's (about $30). They're a little tight, and the headstrap just BARELY fit over my big head, but they sound great!

Nice set, I have the "studio" 250 ohm version and they're pretty nice.

          Same, I love them!

While they aren’t meant for mixing, the Waves NX plug-ins have settings to EQ them to actually work with the plug-ins. I’ve got the Ocean Way and CLA NX plug-ins and have gotten some pretty good results using them. I no longer have to check every mix in my truck anymore as I can just bounce between the HS-5’s, DT-990’s and DT-990’s with the NX stuff, if I can get a mix sounding good on all three, I’m generally good to go anywhere else.

That's cool since they have a super V shaped EQ curve lol. I have the 1990 Pro too and honestly I prefer the 990 Pros.

I forget, are these the open backed version of the beyerdynamic DT770s?

I think so, yeah. Not sure if there's anything else different. I'm enjoying the open-back-ness of them, though they are still a bit tight on my fat melon

Also, 250 Ohm, but not that it makes a difference much to me... these are for casual listening and live jamming with a headphone amp.
