My local music store is selling NU-X brand effects and I recently bought their Analog Chorus pedal. It’s a pretty decent pedal, can’t fault it. They are a Chinese company designing and manufacturing these things, which I think is pretty cool for the Chinese to bring their own thing to the market instead of just being a factory for others even if they are just simple effects whose circuits have been known for decades. They have a pretty unique pedalboard design too, so it’s a sign these guys are thinking and trying to make something new.
The guy at the store told me they have been an OEM manufacturer for other companies for a long time, but I didn’t find out what brands specifically. NU-X is owned by Cherub Technologies. Does anyone have any insight into this? I’m probably going to end up grabbing a few more of their pedals because they are doing a good job.
