While I love the form factor of the FM3, I do find the DSP limit a bit stifling. I can hear a difference between economy and high Reverbs, and there's a noticeable tone difference between using standard and ulta-res IRs. Both of these require quite a bit of processing power, and I find I'm regularly maxing out the FM3's capabilities or making choices of what to cut from the preset.

I've made it work and I've been able to come up with some truly amazing sounding FM3 patches, but this bump in DSP on the FM9 is more than enough to accomplish what I want in my presets, and is more than I expected Fractal to deliver. I felt a larger floor-board was coming sooner or later and was hoping for 15-20% more DSP - so this FM9, at a price point between the FM3 and the Axe FX 3 is honestly a better product than I was expecting and I'm excited to snag one and put it through it's paces.

        i actually joined the waitlist.

i've been thinking recently about dumping a ton of money on strymon pedals and the realization is that 3 of them = this unit. So... ok, i'm in.

now, to get a pa to pipe it through :X

I know! it's as if fractal expect to be able to generate sales based purely on the merit of the unit and not some raging hype machine 😂 the losers.

If you aren't jamming with live drums I can't say enough good things about the Headrush wedges. I sniff all the corks and despite their low price tag they are fucking awesome.

I DGAF about two amps, I just want to run reverb on high, and not have it fart out. This thing looks awesome.

Looks like it's damn near identical to the 3.2 spec-wise, but, I'm NOT putting that much cash on the floor of a bar

If anyone is thinking of shifting a 3.2 for one of these... uh... hit a brother up...

I've actually heard those are great to use on stage as your own monitors too, if you're going direct-to-house from a modeler without a power amp and guitar cab.

lol my pedal board costs more than that even without the stomp in it but I get it.

I will probably pick one of these up its a no brainer at this price.

I'll definitely be shifting my FM3, if a little less cash on the floor of a bar is appealing to you.

If its under 19 inches wide you could always mount it on a rack shelf and control it out front with an fcb1010. That's what I was planning on doing with an FM3 before I got my kemper rack.

Just an inch too wide, almost like they knew people might do that so they wouldn't have to buy the more expensive rack unit

Or just set it behind you and control it with a MIDI controller like your FCB1010. I prefer something smaller like the Morningstar MC6 or MC8, but it's the same concept. The FM9 would fit nicely on top of a 4x12 next to a Duncan Powerstage too.

On top of a 412 would be just about right for Tweaking height too.
