I bought this a few years ago from a guy for $25 including 2 sets of vintage EL34s. He said it wasn't working, but is in all sorts of disrepair - Marshall logo is broken, it is missing knobs, etc. Well, I finally had enough to drink tonight, and I was moving around my other amps and finally dug this out. I had a speaker sitting around since I bought the one I needed from Vince.
I popped the speaker in, and a set of tubes, and I had plenty of 12AX7s lying around. I plugged it into my variac first just to be sure nothing blew up, and lo and behold it works perfectly.
It isn't as if these are the most valuable amps in the world, but still. The guy sold me a perfectly functional, if ugly JTM60, with 2 sets of power tubes for $25. SCORE.
