Unique use of noise and glitch effects

More than likely everyone here will hate this video, but I have to say it's great to see someone getting some different and interesting sounds from their gear. Her use of the Moog ring modulator for rhythmic noise stabs made me make a patch in my FM3 doing the same thing, but assigning the ring mod to an expression pedal for the frequency sweep she does here.

I have to be the one to say it, don't I?

Terrible, terrible, vibrato. Ugh. The definitive needlessly pinched note bumblebee. Big nope.

I’m just glad it wasn’t a Berried Alive video.

If there's a video where vibrato does't matter, this is it.

I tried as hard as I can ignoring the vibrato. Not easy.

That said, I do like her use of the ring modulator. It's not an effect to easily implement in a musical way, but it sounds cool.

This video sounds like a hot bag of poo. Probably the amp's fault.

Did you misspelled vibrato for Vito Bratta?

Vito Bratta originated modern vibrato, so yes.

I need to make some videos for some of the weird effects stuff I do with the GT-6. And I need to get a more modern unit to see what weird things I can exploit.

One of my fun tricks was making a "step wah" by adding a parametric EQ into the chain. Narrow the Q and boost it to hell, and assign the mid-frequency band selection to the expression pedal. Instant weirdness. Instead of sounding smooth and vocal, it sounded robotic.
