So I bought a Marshall MX212 cab a couple years ago, to go with my little Peavey 6505MH, 'cuz the Peavey cab I played at the store sounded like ass....the MX cab is certainly a lower budget model but it's nice & sturdy & has Celestion Seventy 80 speakers in it....which I've realized are maybe not the best sounding Celestions out there.It's presently projecting sound from my new EVH 5150III LBX-S & again, sounds ok....I've also played my JVM410H & '78 JMP 50 through this cab, which sounds better....but not as good as my 1960A w/V30s, obviously...... but I want a smaller 2x12 for my mini heads.So, my question is, would it be worth it to either put some Greenbacks in it, or some 65 Creambacks.....would this cab magically sound better or is it the cab itself? Mind you, it definitely sounds pretty good but I know those Seventy 80s ain't the shit. I'm thinking of getting a DSL 20 & maybe dumping the other 2 mini heads, not quite my flavor.....as you probably deduced, I'm pretty partial to Marshall.....
