I feel bad cuz he’s one of the nicest dude’s I’ve ever met and you totally get that “This is clearly a genuinely good human being” vibe immediately from him, but man, he kind of played himself into a hole. If he started djenting, editing the shit out of his guitar tracks and maybe called himself Captain Dingleberry or something, he could probably have a revival, but he’d have to switch to a $4500 custom ERG double neck and he’s going to wrong direction with this one.The Karmic Law is not kismet. It is not fate but cause and effect. It is a taskmaster to the unwise; a servant to the wise.

I have to say, the Division guys and I saw him play at a small NoVA place a few years ago, and it was rather disappointing. I was all ready for a couple of hours of ridiculous guitar technique, and it...wasn't that. Maybe he was just having a bad day; he's obviously a talented player.
At this point, the wig is part of his schtick, but it looks even worse on an old guy than it did when he was younger.

saw him at a clinic around 2006 or so. he seemed really highstrung and nervous kinda like he does here. guess thats just his personality? seems like he was never really in a big famous band at any point in his career. idk how popular nitro was but I first heard of him from his instructional videos and videos about his crazy double/quad necked guitars. Idk why didn't ever get into a higher paying band gig. hes got chops for days.

They never broke through, and for good reason--they were awful. Everybody had chops, nobody had songs. And Jim Gillette's vocals sounded like a guy being tortured.
