EJ Lead Preset For Da AxeFX

Ok, I'm going to upload two presets; one was pre-Cygnus and the other is post-Cygnus. It CERTAINLY changed some things and was barely recognizable when I checked I loaded it up. I tried to convert it to an Axe II preset but Fractool only let's me pick FM3 or AxeFX III.

Wow, I sure hope these pics resize. I just spent an hour trying to upload the damn things and nothing will upload from my computer so my only option was to Airdrop them to my phone then upload them to Imgur then link them here. Holy shit.

Anwho, hope the preset works out for ya guys. I didn't touch anything past the Authentic/Ideal page and all I did on Ideal was turn the High Treble almost all the way off, it's maybe at 1.5. While I hate saying this word in the context of guitar, there's some cool bloomy shit going on when bending, it's got the air around the notes kinda thing. I have no clue how this sounds with single coils, it was dialed in with my JEM with Evolutions, so YMMV.

I know next time I tweak it, I'm going to play around on the Speaker page and play with the higher frequencies. It still doesn't have that same warmth to it the pre-Cygnus version had.

Edit- Sounds better with the Presence on 0. Had some weird buzzy sound in the lower notes with it on at all.

Yep, I selected a ton of my presets last night and did it in bulk. Takes a while that way, but at least I won't leave anything out.

Got it setup, and it sounds really cool! I turned the drive down on the Tube Driver to about 2 after taking these snaps, but I'm digging on it!

BTW, that format is my "template" for the most part... I only really change out the amps



This clip is with my Warmoth Tele Hybrid with Fluence Open Cores... bridge pup in single coil mode (bridge coil), then about 3/4 through it I flip down to the hot voice on the bridge HB.

That's pretty damn beefy! I may consider those Open Cores in something. I've got two Strats and one might benefit from them, for sure.

And that's funny about the template, because when I was taking the screenshots, I saved it as my "Normal Shit" template. Every time I make a new preset, I remind myself, "Make a template, stupid", and I forget every time.

Cygnus really threw this preset for a loop. I can certainly see how a whole slew of AxeIII guys right now aren't too thrilled. I dicked around with it again last night with my Strat and got a little closer, but still haven't gotten as close as I did with my JEM when I first made the preset.

Oh snap, I just bypassed the Power Amp and it's almost identical to how it sounded pre-Cygnus!

Edit 2- I just realized that turns off the entire amp block, not just the power amp, which means that the Tube Driver was doing all the work, which then means to get back to the pre-Cygnus tone, I've gotta clean up that Plexi because it's the extra dirt making it sound so different.

Edit 3- I switched the amp the Plexi 100 Watt Normal and it's nearly identical to the pre-Cygnus preset now. Give that a shot. Had to tweak the EQ a bit, it needed some more Treble and Presence, I also boosted it up in the Tube Driver as well.
